Choose colors in the children's room

Choosing a color for a child’s room is not an easy task, which sometimes confuses even experienced parents.
It has long been proven by science that color significantly affects the emotional state of a person, and prolonged stay in a room whose color excites or suppresses can negatively affect the psyche. That is why parents when arranging a children's room should pay attention not only to what materials the children's furniture is made from, but also to what color combinations will organize the space in which the child will live. Choosing the color of the interior of the nursery, it is necessary to remember that the child is even more susceptible to external stimuli than an adult man.
The color scheme of the children's interior should be significantly different from the design of other rooms. Bright, but not flashy calm colors should prevail in the nursery. Regardless of whether the room is on the sunny side or not, the color combination in the interior should be harmonious.

The best option is a combination of warm and cold shades. For warm colors, pastel shades are preferred. For example, yellow and orange should not be taken too bright. For the interior of the nursery, pale yellow, lemon-cream, corn, pear, pumpkin, and brick are suitable. All these shades will look bright enough and at the same time not put pressure on the psyche of the child.

Remember that even diluted yellow and orange colors can make a child overly active. Therefore, when choosing a color for the interior of the nursery, it is necessary to consider the nature of the child. For moving and energetic children, the colors of a calmer range are suitable. You can choose a softer or more contrasting combination. For example, cyan and navy blue will give a more contrasting combination than light blue and light gray.

As for the number of primary colors for the interior, you can take one or two colors as a basis, and then use shades similar in color. Several contrasting accessories in the form of applications on the walls, paintings or pillows will only complement and enliven the interior.

Children are very fond of marine style. It uses blue and blue tones. To the room did not seem too cold, you can add pale yellow and sandy shades. Also in the marine style must be used white.
A little red will make the nursery's interior even more interesting. But do not get carried away with red: it should be in moderation. The hue of red should not be too scarlet. When choosing red accessories, burgundy shades should be preferred.

Furniture in a marine nursery is preferably white. And do not forget about the strip. It can be actively used both in textiles and in many elements.

For newborns, pastel and soft shades are suitable: pale blue, light turquoise, white with a blue tint, light lilac or pale olive. Colors close in color contrast can be combined in absolutely any variation. As for furniture for such a nursery, light white furniture and dark wood furniture are suitable here.

An unusual approach to painting walls in the nursery: a smooth transition of colors from azure to blue can be made in the form of waves. This option is suitable for a children's interior on a marine theme.

The combination of a gray-blue dark and light shade with milk furniture is another popular design for a children's room. A pastel yellow hue as a small accent will add brightness to the interior.

A brighter version of the design of the children's room is a combination of fuchsia and pastel yellow shades. Girls like this interior. Fuchsia should not be taken in its pure form, especially for the color of the walls. The predominant color in such a room should remain pale yellow.

For older children, a combination of bright blue and pink is possible. Blue can be used as an additional color in such an interior. For the nursery in green colors, you can use olive colors. They blend well with blue, brown and white shades.

For those who still decided to make a nursery in red shades, we can advise adding brown to it. It neutralizes the bright red color and creates a warm, cozy atmosphere in the room. Pink and brown are basically the contrast of light and dark. This option is often used with a plentiful amount of ornaments: peas, shelves, flower patterns. As in black and white interiors, built on contrast, form has a priority role.
We recommend coloring the interior of a children's room for teenagers under 16 using a more saturated range than children under 11. Now the child is becoming an adult, he has his own opinion, a sense of taste and he wants to make the interior of the children's room as he sees fit.

The colors of the teenager’s nursery are already more complex. There is no previous childish naivety in them.
